Getting to the Victoria Silver Threads Centre 

We look forward to welcoming you to the Victoria Centre located at 1728 Douglas Street. We are easily accessible by bus or if your require parking we provide one hour free parking coupons for the Fisgard Parkade. The friendly staff looks forward to helping you match your interests with available Silver Threads activities or providing you with information on a wide range of agencies that serve seniors throughout the community.

The Victoria Centre serves both the diverse interests of long time Silver Threads members and the changing and emerging needs of seniors in the Victoria area. We provide inter-generational and inter-cultural activities that support the health and wellness of older residents.

Laughter flows from this centre as "providing fun for all" is our number one priority. Familiar programs of exercise, crafts and card games provide many happy hours of enjoyment and fellowship at a very affordable rate. Check for details or call us at 250-388-4268. Beyond the Centre

Silver Threads recognizes that many seniors require programs that extend outside the downtown centre. In recognition of emerging issues such as seniors' employment, help with tasks around the house and supports for isolated or lonely seniors, Silver Threads provides programs to meet these needs out in the community. Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are a critical component of the Silver Threads services. If you have some time to give, we would very much appreciate your help. There are volunteer positions available for drivers, thrift shop clerks and servers at our bi-monthly dinners.
